Finding Peace

We get so fixated
In finding love
and happiness,
Like an obsession,
A coveted prize.

Yet the places we had looked for
holds room for pride
And desire.

We often mistook
Love for desire,
Desire for love,
And when searched,
We failed to find.

We thought
we may had it all,
It feels like everything,
We chase the thrill,
Parade and Flaunt
When we had it.

But felt Hollow,
And empty.

We tried
To Reason,
Be Logical
To Justify

It is not enough,
To fill the void.

When peace
Was truly
The feeling
We wanted
To feel,
From within.
