Stay
To love me for my crack and flaws,
And my brittle heart made of clay,
For I had given you my all,
Losing myself along the way;
Hang on to me despite the snow,
Despite the monsoon November rain,
Promise me that you won’t let go,
Tell me not if I went insane;
Shedding tears like the leaves of fall,
Reminisced of us while missing you,
Stayed all-nighter for your missed calls,
Empty promises which you withdrew;
Feigned to me you still would care,
Showered me with lukewarm affection,
Intimate cuddles in bed skin bare,
Indulged my body as your obsession;
Glimmers of false hope you would stay,
Yet you vanished without a trace,
Rendered me as baggage of castaway,
For a surrogate whom you had replaced;
Guiltless apologies fatigued to hear,
Implore no more that I would stay,
The greatest act is to disappear,
Had I loved you from far away;
